Pinarello has developed 2 new gravel bicycles, to add new possibilities to its customers. These bikes are destined to a wide use, ranging from smooth and paved roads to gravel dirt. The comfort was therefore the main objective of the project and Pinarello used the same technologies of Dogma K8S, the bike developed with the Sky Team on the streets of Paris-Roubaix.
First of all, geometries have been defined to allow great comfort to the runner, especially on rough roads and long distances.
Then, on the rear, the engineers used the technology "flexstays ", with a rather flat and wide section, for a high vibration absorption on the vertical plane and torsional rigidity.
Considering the conditions of use, which could include slippery and muddy roads, the wheel passage was enlarged to assemble tyres up to 38 mm (or 32 mm tyres with mudguards). In addition, the bikes have Flatmount disc brakes and Thruaxle pins (100x12 mm on the front and 142x12 mm on the back), to have optimum braking and traction power on each terrain.
Aerodynamics have also been cosideration, since the main triangle uses aerodynamic profiles similar to those developed for Dogma F8.
