The last creature of the Pinarello Lab is an evolution of Pinarello bolide, up to now reference point for the chronometer bicycles.
Born so Bolide TT that sets new points of reference in search of maximum performance.
The development of the Bolide TT has started from the experience and the work carried out in recent years.
The main objectives of this project were a drastic reduction in weight, maintaining rigidity and aerodynamics unchanged from the current bolide.
The end result was a 350 g reduction in the overall weight of the chassis kit and an improvement in aerodynamic performance.
How was this possible?
A thorough analysis of all the features used on the chassis was carried out optimizing their design and using more valuable materials to better adapt to the production processes used. This is why we have revised the structure of the fork for example; The seat post is now similar to the one used on our road models; The central movement with Italian pitch; The rear dropouts in light alloy; We have revised the internal arrangement of components for the electronic group in order to optimize the construction of the chassis.
We have also worked on the carbon structure itself: we have made extensive use of the Torayca T1100 fibre for absolute stiffness and unparalleled weight reduction.
We also went further with the aerodynamic features through a thorough analysis of the influence of each individual part of the frame.
We have implemented the dropouts of the aerodynamic fork, directly derived from the HR bolide; The slooping horizontal tube with an optimized aerodynamic section; The new concave oblique tube with section specially designed to accommodate the water bottle; The Twin Force saddle closure; The new shape of the trailing edge of the rear brake cover.
